Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)
DTV is the Destination Thailand Visa be known as the “digital nomad visa”, is promoting a long-stay visa specifically designed for remote workers, freelancers and students who wish to live and work in Thailand for an extended period.
The visa has its 5 years validity with multiple entry visa upon approval. That allows travelers to perm its stays of up to 180 days and the possibility to extend for another 180 days.
After the maximum stay of 180 days plus extra 180 days, DTV holders must depart Thailand and be able to re-enter the country with the same DTV visa within the visa validity date.
This visa also caters to foreigners interested in Thai soft power activities such as
- Muay Thai training
- Thai Cooking Class
- Sports training
- Medical Treatments
- Siminars
- Music Festivals
- Additionally, spouses and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders can apply for a dependent DTV visa.
Eligible Applicants for DTV Visa
DTV aims to attract workcation-type individuals in which purpose of visit:
DTV1
Workcation which includes Digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent, foreign students and freelancer
DTV2
Thai soft power related activities e.g. Muaythai, Thai cooking class, Medical treatment, Seminars and Music festivals
DTV3
Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders can apply for a dependent DTV visa.
The basic requirement for the DTV visa
DTV1-Workcation
- Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)
- Photograph size 4×6 cm with white background taken within 6 months
- Document indicating current location
- Financial evidence: Bank statement showing ending balance at least THB 500,000 or equivalent in other currencies
- Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status
DTV2 - Thai soft power
- Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)
- Photograph size 4×6 cm with white background taken within 6 months
- Document indicating current location
- Financial evidence: Bank statement showing ending balance at least THB 500,000 or equivalent in other currencies
- Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital or medical center
DTV3-Dependent
- Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)
- Photograph size 4×6 cm with white background taken within 6 months
- Document indicating current location
- Financial evidence: Bank statement showing ending balance at least THB 500,000 or equivalent in other currencies
- Proof of relationship to the DTV visa holder e.g. copy of marriage certificate, birth certificate, certificate of adoption
